hitchhiker coral?

I think i have a hitchhiker acan...?
Its sm about the size of a nikel and is a round shaped ball....it has mini zoo heads on it that go in and out! Sry this is the best way i can describe it! I got it on the side of a yellow polyp frag. I'll try to get a post on here later on in the day, as right now im at work! I got a new computer at work so it makes it possible to right this hehe.....seems to be doing well in the tank cuz its deff grown. Dont understand why my corals are doing so well cuz last week i had nitrite spike to like 20ppm and my zoos are slowly diddling away. They stopped opening! Any ideas on this too would be appreciated.

sorry people, i know these pics are way over due today....Can someone please tell me if this is an acan or a sm colony of zoos growing quite rapidly? or is it still to young to tell? Thank you

can you turn that rock and get a closer pic. try using a magnfying glass to take the pic thru

my mom has some of those too, hitchhiked in somehow on a rock out of my tank I had for a year or so with no signs.
Somebody told me they were some pest but they grow so slowly that they aren't much of a pest and kinda pretty. may not be the same as yours hard to tell.

well the darn thing has grown thats for sure! I used a magnifying glass yesterday and took more shots, however they didnt look like it helped that much! lol the magnifting glass wasnt even glass maybe thats the prob....thxs though i'll do some research on the gonioporas.

well after looking at some pics here on SWF.com. Im thinkin thats wat it is...not the flower pot style ones "green" but the smaller polyp ones as BTL said. I guess and hope itll get bigger and do well in my tank!
