The first one is a micro brittle, beneficial, and a very good thing. Prolific breeders, and good scavengers. Their actuall bodies (the part that you can't really see) rarely get larger than this "O" (most don't even get that size).
The second on isn't really clear enough for me to see what it is. A different angle (if you could get one) would be immensely helpful!

how big does the micro brittle get at the moment the legs are about an inch long and when you say prolific how prolific do you mean as i have a couple of these on 1 rock.
I keep trying to get a better angle for the second pic but my tank is a bow fronted corner tank so it comes out all distorted.the best way to describe it is that it looks like an emerald crag just a different colour. The colour is the same as the underneath of a cleaner shrimp the only thing that worries me is that the pincers look pretty sharp.
Thanks for the reply.

Well, that is about as big as the brittles will get.
As for the mystery object, I would try and take it out (be careful not to damage it!) and lay it out on a flat surface, and take some pics. As for it possibly bieng a emerald crab, I doubt it highly, since when my emerald crabs molteed, their molted skin was stull green, so I doubt it is an emerald.
