HLLE

Would somebody be kind enough to describe what symptoms a fish with HLLE can exhibit? Also, what exactly is HLLE, and how do you treat it?
I don't have any sick fish, (that I know of) but was hoping somebody could provide more infomation on this for me. Thanks in advance!

It is Head and lateral line erosion. It mostly affects tangs and angels. It is the erosion of the head area in the pits or pores of the face and deterioration of the lateral line down the fishes sides. In my experience the main cause seems to be the lack of greens or proper nutrition. There are a ton of maybe causes like stray voltage, poor water quality and protozoan infections but most of the recent research pionts to nutritional deficiencies.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had read just enough about it to wonder what it really was. I was thinking it was an internal type of disease, but you have set me straight.
