I am curious on how much intensity egg crate style light diffuser panel, knocks out of your lights, I know there has to be some reduction, but a quantative result would be a great thing for hobbyest to know when considering tank covers.
I implore anyone that has a lux meter to take samples of their lights with and without egg crate and post the results. If I had one I would do it for my lights, I'm going to ask my Local reefclub the same question, and possibluy see if I can borrow a lux meter for a day or two to test a couple different lighting types.
