Hmmmm A new tank ???

I was at my lfs store the other day and I noticed a 110 gallon tank sittting there. Its on a stand with the glass covers on it. Theres an Oceanic wet dry filter in the stand with a skimmer, heaters, everything included except lighting. I ask the owner about it and he said that someone had bought it from him about a year ago and now moved out of state so they brought it back to him. He wants $1400 for it delivered. HMMMMMM maybe I'm gonna get a new tank. Ya think its a good deal ?? Should I do it ?? I havn't bought a large tank in a long time. Last week we bought a 5 gallon Fluval Chi {rather cool tank actually } so the girlfriend has somewhere to put her Goldfish. But as for a large tank, I havn't bought one in about 15 years, and that was my 55. Which doesn't seem very big anymore.

that is good deal for tank & stand delivered and set up? Also what did you want to keep in it you need to research the needs of those types of fish. In today standards 110 is on the small side of tanks, 180 is almost the norm today. I have 135 wish I would gone bigger 16 years ago that was huge.

You can find some great deals on Craigslist. I got a 125 gallon tank & stand, pre-drilled twin overflow, glass top (which I replaced w/ eggcrate), 2 x 36" light fixture (2 bulb), amiracle wet/dry filter system (which I'm not using because I made a sump), two submersible pumps (991 gph & 750 gph), brand new heater, brand new power head, 3/4 full instant ocean salt bucket, as well as some bulkheads and other items. He was asking for $650 and I offered him $600 and he took it. Since then I have painted the stand and the trim on the tank to get it the way I want it. He also had a trash can full of rock which was not live considering his system was not up for over a year (I didn't take it because I already had plenty of rock I had purchased). I think I got a good deal and I feel I could have offered him less. He didn't deliver it though. That just gives you an idea of what kind of deals are out there. You can find some great deals you just have to be patient and look for them. $1400 may be a good deal depending on what all your getting but there are better deals in my opinion.
