Holes?

I've just recently set up my saltwater tank. I bought a couple of damsels to break it in. When I got them I gave them a freshwater dip and everything went okay. In the past couple of days I have noticed that they are digging holes. Is this normal behavior or is there a problem that I need to address?

we have seen that behavior with damsels, as far as I know they are just making a comfy place. You may find them spending the night in those spots. Good Luck. Keep asking, you will learn tons from this board.

Mine dig like there going to build a high-rise. These holes are where they like to hide at night or when my kids are around.

My 2 damsels do the same thing, and even tho I have live rock, they seem bent on playing "engineer". The one thing that sucks is, with live sand they dig all the way to the tank bottom and tear up the landscape something fierce...making it look really ugly. I level out my sand almost 2 a week :(
