"HOLEY" rock question

my LFS has "HOLEY" rock for 1.99 lb and im thinkin bout going to get a piece that they have had for ever now.......its about 2ft long....13-14in tall....8in wide......
for my 30 gallon tank.....think itll look alright in there........or would a chunk o' rock that big in there not look right? my tank in 36x13x24(ROUGHLY EYEBALLING ITS SIZE).......
and would it become "LIVE" rock in there with my 2 LR that are currently in there now?

If you buy it and put it in your tank and then decide it is too big you could always break it up into a smaller rock.
I take it the rock is dry now? Then if you have LR in your tank and you put it in there, it will eventually become live rock. How long depends on your tank and the conditions of your tank.
