Ive seen this tank before - I believe this is the method used for stocking in either Japan or China (I forget which) and they have proven that they have no quality issue and the livestock has been thriving
I dont see how it is possible but there are many reputable sites that talk about this

UR kidding I hope. Maybe you should go for a scuba dive on a large reef. You may not be so, uhmmm... worried about the oceans running out of fish. The reef's I dove on Okinawa had millions and millions and millions of fish in them. Oh, and millions more. I wouldn't worry about the oceans tropical fish falling short due to aquarium populations.
The worlds aquariums couldn't hold the fish found in a 1 square mile area of a densly populated reef.

IMO, it looks great! Yes, it does look crowded, but so does the reef. Plus, a lot of his fish are just large, giving it that crowded appearance, but a bunch of smaller fish to fill up that tank would make it look worse. Yes, I most certainly hope thats at least a 300 gallon tank, and yes I hope that he has good filtration, because the majority of those fish are angels, tangs, or butterflys. JMO
