Is there any way you can set up a sump on a sump. I am trying to plumb it so it all is hooked up to the same DT. I am very tired and have no Idea if I am making any sense at all.

The simplest way would be to set both sumps side by side and hook them together with a U tube siphon hose made out of pvc. Here is a thread showing how: https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/243146/u-tube-siphon-joining-two-tanks-together
Water flows from your tank into your first sump. Then it flows from the sump through the siphon hose to your other sump. Then from there your pump pumps it back to your main tank. If you wanted to raise the water level you can set your first sump higher than your second. The higher you place your first sump the higher the water level will remain in the second sump.
Another way is to drill holes in each sump at the level you want your water to be. Install some fittings and actually plumb the two together with pvc or flex tubing.

I have 2 separate tanks on my 135. A 29 gallon refugium, and a converted ecosystem sump.(It's just an ecosystem without anything in the refugium compartment.)
I am running two separate return pumps with an OF feeding each tank. Left side feeds the fuge, right side feeds the sump. They are connected with a U tube of PVC, primed with an aqualifter to insure I don't get a syphon break. This is just to balance them out. It is working flawlessly now for several months.
If all my flow went through the U tube, I probably wouldn't need the aqualifter.
