Just thought I would let you all know that the fish are doing great after the move. They wound up being left in rubbermaid containers for 3 days due to a slooooow carpet installer, but things are going good. Put them all back in today. I think I might have lost a couple of snails because the temp was around 68 in the other containers since I only had one heater, but everything else seems to have lived. Just thought I would let you know things are looking ok so far and everyone is swimming around happily.

Having done this more then once I know the planning is not the hard part the move is because you are in constant fear of what could go wrong. The fact yours seems to have gone well shows you took the time to do it right. Good job.

Thanks for the comments. I was lucky that I took a week and asked for your suggestions. The move was only successful to do all of your comments on the best way to move everything.
Pufferlover: You are correct, the part that was the worst was the worrying about what was going on. Wondering wether the fish had proper oxygen levels and such without power heads or filters in with the snails and hermits. Swishing the water around every few hours was the troublesome part. I think the fish were just happy to be back in the tank and not in a big green rubbermaid container.
I think one of the things that helped was that, even though they were in rubber containers I kept their lifestyle pretty much the same. Kept the lighting on the same timer and fed them as well. Keeping them in the same routine I think helped a lot. Even the bangai who used to be pretty shy, has even been coming out more and swimming around after the move.
