Horses and Ponies ~TOGETHER!!!

I have been very concerned about my H. Erectus female, "Aurora", since her tank mate passed away. The male I purchased for her arrived in very bad shape, he didn't make it through the night. Aurora has been all alone in her 45 gallon tank. The 45 has mature LS in it from another tank, however, it's only been up and running for 2 months. I do not want to purchase any more seahorse till after the new year. I still not certain why the male died, I'm pretty sure it was do to shipping, but I don't want to risk the possibility of new tank
syndrome. My concerns for her health have increased since her color has become pale, indicating stress.
So today, after much contemplation, I decided to transfer my ponies into her tank. I wish I had had a camera ready. You should have seen her reaction!!!!! HAPPPPPPPPPPPY AURORA!!!!!!! Did she ever perk up when I started putting the ponies in! I think her maternal instincts took over. Aurora made a "B" line to the first little pony she saw and has been hovering over the little female ever since. It's so sweet. She colored up right away! Aurora's eyes(which really brighten up when she saw the pony)were all over the tank, checking out the little pony, and looking for more!
I just added and order of pods to the 45 today. I'll have to pay close attention to the water quality. I'm planning to purchase more pods, and would like to find out where I can purchase live mysis.
I'll have to double, if not triple, the amount of bbs I hatch. But if this helps Aurora it's well worth it.

The ponies have made themselves at home. The younger ones are playing in the high flows, and Aurora continues to swim around checking out the new tank mates. Her fluttery fins show her excitement. She can hardy hold still. She completed two rounds of the tank in aprox. five minutes.
The ponies have been in the tank almost three hours and seem to be very comfortable/enjoying with the higher flow. This is probably partially due to tons more hitching posts, and I have seen all of them hunting the new buffet of pods I added this afternoon.
