I am moving offices and the owners have given me all the fish and live rock in a 450 gallon tank, as we will not have a tank at the new location. My friend is storing everything for me in her tank until I can get one big enough to hold most of it. What I can't take, she will keep.
One of the inhabitants is a horseshoe crab. When we went into the office today, he was on his back, not really swimming, which he does. He was in the sand. We transported him to the new tank and he is now doing the same thing. He will normally do it for a short time, but he won't flip over. He wouldn't all day in the work tank.
Is this normal? Is there something we can do to help him? Does he even need help?
Any advice would be appreciated.
