hospital tank questions

i am in the process of setting up a hospital tank, but i have a few questions / concerns:
1. i cannot find an accurate hydrometer anywhere, have a swingarm, which is no good to get it to 1.009 where can i find a good one?
2. the tank is a 10 gallon, can i put all 5 fish in there ok? also, do seahorses and blennies have to go in there too?
3. i read that i try to get the water in the main tank as high as possible..will this affect the inverts / corals?
and finally, i think TerryB has a whole process on how to setup a hospital tank, can someone link that to me or something?
Thanks

Try this link below. It's the 1st discussion in the disease & treatment forum posted by Beth. She seems to be very knowledgeable in this area.

You can find s.g. refractometers on the web. Just use a search engine like Google.
I'm no expert but, it sounds like it could be pretty crowded in a 10 gal. I'm confused on your 3rd question. Maybe you could clarify with more details.
What do you think, Beth?

Please read the FAQ post which is at the top of the disease and treatment forum.
Why do you think you need to raise the temp in your main tank? Do you have someting to kill in your main tank like ich? Raising the temp to 80 will speed up the life cycle of ich and with no fish (host) in the tank for 21 - 30 days the ich will die out.
Is that what you meant?

As long as your main tank does not have fish in it, the ich will die out within a month. No need to raise the temp.
10 gal hospital tank for how many fish? No, I wouldn't do that personally.
