hospital tank

i have 2 21/2in triggers and one smaller damsel now my ? is how big of a hospital tank should i get, filtration, and what else would i need. also wich is the best and most acurrate gravity meter for hyposalinity. i have a seatest one made by aquarium systems but i droped it and it broke so i have to get another one any way.

10 gal min, 15 gal is better, and 20 gal long would be ideal. Get the best you can afford. Small places = stress in your fish, and if their in the "hospital" that is exactly what they don't need any more of.

Your hospital tank should really relate to the size of your main tank and what you plan on adding. For instance, a 10 gallon hospital tank wouldn't be good if you have a 300g tank. I see you have a 72g. I personally would get a 20g for that set up. I have a 125g and have a 30g hospital/quarantine tank.
However, for fish in the 2-3 inch range, a 10g would be just fine.
As far as what you need... Don't get to fancy here. No substrate (absorbs meds), a few pieces of PVC (hiding places), heater, powerhead, and a power filter (whisper, penguin, etc.), and of course a light of some sort.
