Anyone know of any good LFS in the Houston area??? For fish, coral, and equipment???? I'm having trouble finding any with decent selections; esp for coral....

I stopped buying equipment from LFS a while ago.They just cant compete with the prices of online vendors.As far as livestock,its nice to see you fish/coral in person before you purchase.

I'm actually originally from The Woodlands and am very close with Jason, the owner of Fish R Us. His little bro actually maintains my mom's 2 tanks for her.
I've just been lookin' for a place down here in the city....I'm at 249 and Beltway 8.

ya not too shabby right? im from cleveland so i didnt venture to far into houston mainly kingwood and humble or conroe and the woodlands.

Ya I personally like the joint a lot....I've run into a couple ppl on this site that think it's downright terrible. That being said, I wanna know where they are shopping that makes his place look so bad!!! LOL!!!

ya our lfs is tiny just one wall and a small center tank for fish and corals. i loved fish r us, i wish it was near hood!
me and my husband joke about pickles all the time! do they still have him?

I'm not sure who Pickles is...if I were to make an assumption I would get the big Puffer they have???? If so I didn't know that was his name and if not I'm not sure who he is!!!!

try fishland off of westheimer and 6. also TNT on 6 sw side. FL has the best prices. TNT has a little more selection sps wise.

yup, they still have him!! he's enormous!! and has huge buck teeth...hahaha. if you ever make it in there again, make sure you deal with Crystal. she's awesome and by far the most knowledgeable.

i live down in victoria and ill drive two hours to visit these stores. they're both pretty good.

Bay area aquarium has really good prices on 45 south at the nasa road one exit, and all about fish on 45 at fuqua has alot of really nice coral.

Fishland to me is the best store I have been too when it comes to prices, is true that TNT have more selection at times but I hate their prices

I m always scared to purchase from City Pets but lately I have droped few dollars there. I just hate the long drive to any of this places

Anyways where is this Fish R Us store?

Fish R Us is at the very north end of The Woodlands;
North on 45, exit to go east on 242, about 2 miles down on the left just randomly placed. You should check it out if you ever make it that way!!

Kool I m going to do my best to be there around friday or Saturday. I just hope I dont spend all my money on gas
trying to get there.
