I have a 40 gal. tall that was overrun by green hair algae. I neglected it pretty bad. I had no lights on for 4 months. the green hair suffocated (reduced it by about 75%). and I lost a 6 line, a diamond gobi and a puffer, supprisingly, my tomato clown made it he's my soldier, I cycled with him a year and a half ago. I recently cleaned everything and practically rebuilt the tank. Replaced the skimmer, all the filter hoses, heater live sand and powerheads. It's beautiful but a bit bland. This time I'm taking it slow. I would love to see some 40 talls to get an idea of rockscape. I was never happy with what I had.
