how aggressive really are they

how aggressive are sohal tangs i think they are cool and am thinkig about adding them to my list so could i do it or will it kill all of the fish i know some people hhave them and they are aggressive and some do and they are not aggressive so i want your opinion

They can be highly aggressive as are the clown tangs. Not to mention they get large, are very active, and IMO need an 8" tank or longer.

VERY AGGRESSIVE!
I had one that was about 5 inches. He started bullying my 3 inch humu trigger, my yellow and hippo tangs and even started chasing around an 8 inch volitans. He finally had to go.

surfin, everytime you post this everyone always tells you that they are aggressive. They are definitely aggressive fish. No way around that.

i just wanted to know if you guys ever kept one and i wanted a opinion on how aggressive they were

Never kept one as I unfortunatly don't have a large enough tank. My good friend has one in his 360GL and yes it likes to harrass everybody. The Sohal is kept with Triggers/Puffers/and a couple big Angels, so the others are well able to hold their own. The Sohal is so hyper active and travels with such great speed that even with a group of burly fish it's a major food hog, and an abuser to anyone that infringes on it's veggie clip.
