How bad are Xanthid Crabs?

I have what I believe to be a Xanthid crab.
He's white with tan splotching, and the tips of his claws are pointed and black.
He's hiding in a rock in a bucket right now, any idea how harmful/less he can be?
Should I remove him or simply toss him back in?
Any ideas how to get him out of the rock?

If you have a sump you could put him in there.
I believe I have one in my main tank... I see him if I turn the lights on after it's completely dark for awhile -- no moon lights. He's about the size of a quarter.. maybe smaller and hasn't hurt anything but if I could get to him he'd go straight in my sump given the chance.

if you know what rock he's on, just either wait him out and grab him when you can, or drop the rock in some hypersaline water, about 1.031 and it will force the crab out. xanthids will eat snails, fish, corals, and just about anything else they can get their claws on.

I had an experience with a white, hitch hiking, sharp point, red tip swimming crab. It went through my five fiddler crabs like tissue paper. My hermits became scared to move. I got rid of it. I also read from other post that black tips are bad too. They'll grab, and cut your fish.
