How big can a condy get?

I got a condy anemone a few weeks ago and it must really like it's placement within the tank. It's tentacles stretch way out until I feeding time. I had to move some things because I didn't know if it could sting or not. Scared the crap out me when I was moving things around and it stuck a few tentacles on my arm. It didn't sting, just felt sticky.
Well how big can these things get and do they sting other corals like other anemones?

I ended up tanking mine back to the lfs for credit because i heard that they can get pretty big and agressive. I was told that they can even start to eat small fish as well as sting corrals and inverts.

Yeah that's what I am worried about. I will continue to monitor it and it may be going back also.

Anemones by nature are fish eaters, I don't remember ever seeing a very big one at least not as big as the LTA's or carpets that can get huge. Also any fish which is not being hosted by a anemone will be stung, even newly introduced clownfish are usually stung a few time before being accepted by the anemone.

Mine is pretty big, base is about as big as a grapefruit and the tenticles are about 12 inches long but I also have one that is small and stayed small . I have had them about a year. They will sting other corals. I havent had any problems , if I notice he is touching something and it seems to not like it then I move it. Hasnt eaten any fish. I keep him well fed.I also have a green carpet as big as a serving platter.I have had him about 2 years, again no problems just keep them well fed.they really are so pretty.Good luck with yours :joy:

I moved some stuff around and it really has to reach to hit another coral except for the bubble coral. However, the anemone's tentacles seem to always go the opposite dorection from the bubble. I will continue to monitor.
