How big do snails get?

I have a snail which originally was part of a SWF "Big Boy" reef invert package I bought about 15 months ago. It's now bigger than a golf ball, smaller than a handball.
Talk about pumping iron!

depends on the snail, The biggest of all snails is Syrinx aruanus, an Australian marine species which can grow up to 77.2 cm (30 inches) in length and 18 kg (40lbs) in weight (quote from wiki)

if its an astrea your looking at a maximum size around 4 inches, unusual for them to get that large in our tanks as they often starve to death or die of other factors long before reaching that age/size.

Starve! Not in my tank! What can I supplement his food with?
