how big does a porcupine fish get in captivity

i cant find the rite answer anywhere. some sources say 6 inches, while others say sumthing like 2 feet. how big do they get and what size tank to u need for one of them?

the largest i have seen was around 16", which is huge. i would say they need a minimum 75, preferably around a 90-100 for comfort. bo

probaly will get up to 12" if feed right and healthy. I would suggest a 100gal tank, but some do get away with smaller tanks. You could always buy a small one in a smaller tank and upgrade as it grows.

In tanks 6 to 15 inches is more normal. Some Puffs in the wild get to 4 feet (hate to meet one of those fellows up close). Frankly the largest I have seen was the one at the Shedd Aquaruim in Chgo which is in a 90000 gallon tank and is about 2 feet long but big and round. My largest is about 14 inches and is not quite 3 years old now (I hope it has stopped growing cause where will I move it).
