how big of a hole for 1 1/2in bulkhead

I am drilling my tank and want a 1 1/2 in bulkhead. How big of a hole should i have drilled? People have told me 2 3/8 and 2 1/2. Which is it?

Do you have the bulkhead yet? If so just measure the O.D. of the threads on the bulkhead.

It really depends on the bulkhead manufacturer.
The ones I have seen advertised say 2 3/8.
