How can i grow more green algae??

I've my reef setup for 2 months now and the 40lbs of lr isnt really growing anything. How can I get the good algae to grow and create food for mw turbo snails, cleaner shrimp? PLEASE HELP>>

take a rock .. put it in a jar of water (salty is better) leave it in the sun for a week... Wal la! Algae

provideing you have healthy fish and good lighting, leaving the lights on longer can help promote algae growth

High phospahtes can cause algea. Both good and bad though.
