how can I post a picture?

I am new here, and I'm just wondering how to attach a picture. When I try to do it, it says my file is too large, how can I fix that? Thank you for any help you can give me.

you have to reduce your pic to at least 500x500 pixels. It has to be a jpeg or gif.

Open your pic in microsoft paint and select stretch/skew from the image pulldown menu. In the hilighted box enter the number that would divide your photo down to less than 500x500. Hit tab and do the same in the next box. Example: if your pic is 2000x2000 you would enter a number of 25% or less resulting in an image that is 500x500 or less respectively. Then click save from the file pulldown and voila. Remember to make a copy unless you don't mind shrinking the original.
