how can i tell if its dead?ASAP

its like deflated but i never seen it b4 (btw this is my first ananome and its been in my tank for a week) its a BTA
i look closley and thie mouth got like bigger and there a lil black thing stickin out of it
but the bubble tips rent bubble and more thay look like dead weeds
is he goin to the bathrrom?

now its lookin a lil better
its mouth closed and the bubble tips r slowin comin back

With my first anemone i flipped out every time it deflatted. Now I only worry if the little guy doesn't pump itselfback up with a 12 hour period. Anemones deflate for all sorts of reasons. Defense, dumping the remains of dinner, stress, you name it. sometimes I began to wonder if the little guy enjoyed watching me stress out.....not that it could realllllly see me, but....anyhow goodluck

The black dot...poop. They will try to turn themselves insideout wen they die.
You pick them up and they reek to high heaven.

tthey deflate once every couple days (or once/day) to balance out their body fluid and the water in your tank, if they do it more than once/day, something is wrong. when an anemone about to die, the foot usually disolve, and you can see white string like things come out from his mouth/disolved foot. also, dying/dead anemone suppose to smells really really bad

Though the photo is a bit poor it looks like it is having a sever reaction to something, like acclimation shock or water quality is poor. Hard to tell. I've seen such reactions when it comes in contact with alkalinity dumped right on it.

well thanks for the advise but now my anenome is nice and full again

i think it was goin to bathroom
it is nice and full and my clowns r happy again
