I have a Torch Coral and a Frogspawn. If I place them close together, where they may occasionally touch when fully expanded, will one harm the other? Just wondering if being in the same genus means they will not do eachother harm?
from what i hv read, its ok to place them closed by. for me tho, i would leave 4-6 inches space. i just feel more room between corals, less stress for them. and therefore better health and growth.

Sometimes it can be done without any trouble, however the torches are more powerful and can kill other euphyllia - I've watched one kill a branching hammer in a few seconds. I've placed hammers and frogspawns together always without trouble, but you'll definetely have to watch the torch if you try it.
Remember the tentacles move with the current and flow of the water only, they cannot move them on their own. Take that into consideration when placing your corals.
