how deep should the power head be?

I have my power head about 4 inches from the top of my 46 bow front.I have cc for a substraight and 50 lbs. of live rock.would it put stress on the fish if I move it around? I also have a uv sterilzer and the discharge is facing the power head discharge. Should they be facing away from each other?

I'm no expert but I sure wouldn't think it would stress the fish out. I put a ph in my tank the other day and the fish swim through it. They like the stream it makes so they must enjoy it.
As far as the uv sterilizer, I'm sorry. I can't help you with that.

Its good to have one or two ph s near the surface of the tank (maybe 3-4 inches from the surface to agitate the surface of the water. This results in increased oxygenation and gas exchange in the tank.
