How did you....

how did you get your clownfish to host your anemone? (was there any trick you used) and how long did it take for it to first start happening?

All of the clownfish I hae bought have started hosting the anemone immediately. Sometimes they take a few days to get aquired to the sting though. It's funny to see them dart into it and back out because it stings.
Make sure that the anemone and clownfish you have are compatible. I have had Percula and Maroon and both hosted a bubble tip.

so lets say i get a BTA next week. Should i bring it home and put a clown fish of mine in the bag with it, to see if it'll host it when its alone with the anemone in the bag?

Will you be bringing back the LTA? Two anemones in one tank could be a problem. They would chemically fight and one might potentialy eat the other.
Don't put a clown in the bag with the anemone. It is stressful for the clown and he could be hurt by the anemone. You cannot force a clown to host.
