How different do shrooms look under halides?

I have PC's and saw some cool mushrooms for sale online, but they are under MH's so I'm wondering how dramatic the color difference would be.

I found mine got a lot brighter under MH then my former compact lighting

i presonally like shrooms better under flourescent lighting. especailly ifthey're stripes or spotted. If you are going to have them under halides, you'll get the best color on them with a bulb more blue on the spectrum like 15 and up.

Agreed, more blue typically makes them look better.
Speaking of which. I want to add VHO to my tank just for color. I already have T5 actinics, but not quite blue enough and I'm not replacing my MH 10K since I want the growth. Anyone recommend a cheap VHO setup for color only?

I have 2 super attinic vho's with my Mh. I got the PFO ballist and bulbs for 200ish I think. Brand new.

Mined looked bleached and then died. Too powerful for my mushrooms...and they were on the bottom. That's why i switched to pc's.
