How do I downsize my photo?

Hi, I can't figure out how to downsize my photo. It says it must be smaller than 500 by 500. I don't think it's that big, but where and how do I do this. Kinda a newbe to this whole photo- internet posting thing, so please pretend I'm 2 years old when explaining. Thanks in advance, Ali

You will need a resizing option. In my computer it is listed under the "image" option, but it expires after a few months. If you have any photo software you should have the resize option...

When I all I want to do is resize the picture I right click on it and open with the paint program already on the pc. then stretch skew down 30% on both.

I agree with ajwaters thats what I do Microsoft Paint its on every computer so no downloads.
