How do I feed cyclops to candy cane coral?

I have some candy cane coral (aka trumpet coral) and I read that feeding it cyclops will help it grow. I asked my LFS if they had any 'Cyclpeze' and they told me that the frozen cyclops that I already owned was the same and that 'Cyclopeze' was just a brand name. Is this true?
So, I've been trying to feed the candy cane coral some of my frozen cyclops. In comes in little frozen cubes. First I use a little RO water to defrost it. After I turn off the pumps in the tank, I use a syringe to squirt some RO water/cyclops mix on the candy cane coral. I always wait until the lights are off and the tentacles are out. Is this the right way? Should I be defrosting the cyclops in aquarium water instead of RO water?
Thanks for your help!

Hi.... your on the right track Terri. I would recommend using a turkey baster and suck up some of your tank water. Just enough to fill the bulb. Drop in the cube and allow it to defrost, it won't take long. Turn off the pumps, and gently squirt on to the coral. allow to sit for 15 or so minutes or until they open again. feed again prn (as needed). One cube may be alot for that one coral, feed others if they are meat eaters.

Thanks Kiefers! I'll use some tank water as opposed to RO water as you suggested. I'll also let it sit for a little longer. Before, I never really let it sit for very long (just a few minutes) before I turned the pumps back on. I'll make sure and change that in the future :)
Here's another question....
I wasn't feeding them one cube at a time...after I defrosted the one cube I'd keep the water/cyclops water mix for a few days and use it to feed the coral once a day over the course of 3 - 4 days. I'd always store the mix in the fridge. Is it okay to use the defrosted mix a few times or would it spoil to quickly?

You know, I don.t think it would spoil but I really don't know. You could do one of the following. One is you could make smaller servings, maybe one fourth or two, half and refreeze the rest in a small plastic container.
Typically, you can leave the pumps off for no more than 15 minutes the a few minutes later turn on the powerhead again.
Just my thoughts.

With my Sun Corals I turn off the lights for an hour prior to feeding. I then turn my wave maker controller to feed mode then the pump off. I feed for around 15 minutes to all the corals and one snail I have from the beach (Gary).
As the corals eat, I then return to the sun corals and give them a second helping. The left overs go into the freezer in a dixie cup for the next feeding time which is within two to three days.
I then turn on one power head and leave it on for 10 seconds then off.
My open brains and Scolley are the slowest to eat, so I feed them first then the sun corals last. After the 15 minutes, I turn on the pump and let sit for an hour before the powerheads because I don't want to blow the food out of the brains. Then when I have a visual that the brains are finished eating, I turn the contoler bak to normal function.
Does this make sense Lol.....
