how do i lower ph"????

Top of with just RO water. That has a lower PH.
How did it get high in the first place?

well on my test stripes its darker than the 8.8 so its high..now my singapore fish is stressed and on the verge of death.

you may need to hurry in a series of water changes.
However, I don't know what you are going to do about your stressed fish except hope you had a hospital tank set up.

There are several products to lower or adjust PH. Seek out the web. Go in slow doses.

my first suggestion would be to replace the test strips with a more accurate test kit, often test strips are wildly innacurate at best.
if your PH is indeed 8.8 after being tested with a more reliable test kit I would suggest doing waterchanges. to get it back within range. honestly it would be very suprising if your PH was that high. also test your calcium and alkalinity, between knowing where those two parameters are you can figure out why your ph would be elevated to the point its at.

Do a water change. Even if the test kit is defective the water change won't hurt.
I don't understand how adding RO water would alter the PH.
