How do I prevent my stingray from hogging all of the nori?

I wonder if anyone has any ideas. I'm out of them. My stingray is an absolute pig. He eats all of the food that falls to the bottom of the tank and then searches out the clips for nori and steals it off the clip. This is pretty frustrating because I have 5 tangs that need to eat the nori. They generally have only 3-4 minutes to eat the nori before the stingray finds it.
I alternate each day between nori and romaine lettuce so the tangs are still well fed. The stingray leaves the lettuce alone but I know that nori is a healthier food for the tangs. Any opinions?

try stick feeding it, and just make sure its fed till its completely full and maybe then it wont steal it may just not be getting enough foodtry and see if that works.

He eats a ton already. This guy gets about 75% of the meaty food that I put in my tank. In any given feeding he may eat 15 or so pieces of krill or silversides. He's an absolute pig. Not sure how much more I can feed him without compromising water quality. Thanks for the advice though.

thats funny, my rays never had interest in nori thats for sure.. and i bet someone is going to telly ou that romane lettuce is very bad for your tangs so be prepared... anyway
i used to spot feed my shark first, then my rays would swim the top bellyup so that i could put the food in their mouths, once they were full i then held nori sheets in the water for my tangs to eat out of my hand, those clips dont stay onthe glass when you have large tangs they pull it right off..
just an idea!
get to work!

What do you mean "get to work"? I have to do something to pass the time until my "business lunch".
BTW, I wonder if my stingray will ever get full. I don't think so. I do think that the nori probably adds some healthy variation in my ray's diet. But my tangs will get most of their veggies from other sources, (lettuce, frozen, pellets, etc.)

lucky?

My ray was doing the same thing until my tangs ganged up on him and just took it right back. My naso, sailfin and unicorn hover around the ray until he leaves just a little opening then one will dart under him and play tug of war until the tang wins. They did this for about a month and now the ray seems to lazy and doesn't even go after the nori. You could try a piece of acrylic and cut it so you can stick it in the tank and use as a divider if you can seperate the the ray/ tangs. Or just Hold it for the few minutes while the tangs eat and tease the ray!
