How do I remove mushrooms from rock?

I'm cycling a 6 gal tank now and my red mushroom rock in my 12 gal is getting a little crowded, so I was thinking of taking some of those shrooms off and putting them in my 6 gal.(after is cycles) but I don't know how. Here's a pic of the rock. It's the red ones kinda in the middle on the right.

You just have to get a firm grip on the base with a GLOVED hand, the n apply pressure! If this doesn't immediately push the poly off, act quickly, and twist firmly, like you are picking a mini apple. The key is to apply firm but gentle pressure, using your finger nails to pry it off the rock. If some of the base comes off on the rock, don't worry- it will grow a new poly, and the polyp will grow a new base. DON'T FORGET TO WEAR GLOVES! It is controversial whether glue causes burns, but super glue gel worked for me!

Thanks!! I'll try that and let you know how it works. I can't wait for my tank to be cycled and start moving some of my coral over to it.

The best way to remove mushrooms is with a small razor knife (an exacto knife works best). Simply irritate the mushroom to make it close up and life the edges and cut at the base where it is holding onto the rock. The harder part is getting it to reattach. Cover the bottom of a small container with crushed coral or rubble rock place the removed mushroom in the container on top of the rock and cover with a material called tool (it is the white mess material found on wedding dresses). Secure the tool with a rubber band. Place in a frag tank or sometimes I put it back in my main tank on the bottom. It will take about 4 days and the mushrooms will attach to the rubble rock. You can then glue the rock to any other peice of rock in your tank. I have never had success trying to glue mushrooms without rock. If you want to have even more fun try cutting the mushrooms into 2 peice. The key is to go right down the middle and cut the oral disc (mouth) right in half. This will create two new mushrooms.
