How do I set up a refugium???

I wish to add a mandarin into my 85. I know the lil guy will decimate a pod population unless it can sustain him so I was wondering if a 10 gal. would be OK to start a refugium and what else would go into it.
I would use LS from the main tank and some of my LR debris from the main tank as well. What type of filtration, if any, and could it be ran on only a powerhead??? What kind of lights as well???
Any info would help a ton..

there are a couple good threads on this very subject going in the reef forum one posted by diceman called copecods (mispelled) but a good thread with good opinions. Also check titles refugiums. We are all talking about taking care of our mandarins by producing pods in a refuium.
