In my experiance with them as long as there is salt water in the tank they will be fine. They really dont like a lot of light either I alwasy put mine under a overhang. They are very easy to care for!

Low in the tank and low water flow. Mine is near an overhang, but not under it. When I originally positioned it, it didn't seem to react much differently to open lighting or an overhang, so I split the difference.
Water conditions should be normal reef conditions.

Mine is just the opposite. It took me two weeks pf moving him arround the tank to find a place he would attach. He is 1/3 way down in bright lighting and medium current. He has grown atleast an inch in diameter in the past 6 weeks. I feed Kents phytoplex, 10 drops every day in a 105 gallon tank. One thing is for sure...mine moved from every other location I put him in until I found the spot he liked.
