How do I use Golden Pearls?

I got some samples of Golden pearls in the mail today.
What creatures like this and how do I feed it?

I agree with golfish. I don't have any yet but have heard from numerous people that a little bit goes a very very long ways.
I would start with the 1/8 tps once a week and see what happens.
