i just bought some polyps. one bunch was connected to a frag stone the second bunch is about the size of a nickle can i just put it in the sand next to some of my live rock and it will hold on or should i actually place it on live rock. i did not know the lady placed the smaller bunck in with my larger bunch and it is not a broken of peice because it looks like it has rolled on the bottom until it was wedge against something. thanks it also is not opening like the larger bunch.

Get some super glue gel from the dollar store. Dry a spot on a piece of Rock the pat dry the bottom of the polyp, hold for a minute. Your done. Don't place in sand because it shifts. Or try the cup method, see fragging corals.
