Hey guys, some of you have seen me around already, but it is pretty obvious I am new to the hobby! I have been poking around the internet and I am looking for a sort of laid back type of tank, I really do not want to have my nose in this thing for hours a day; I have found some corals I am interested in and I need verification on whether or not these are a good idea.
I have already bought and owned a 30gallon for a good six or seven months now. Just live sand, live rock, and a couple peppers. There is a bit of a cyano problem =/ but I am sure it will go as the tank matures. I would like to point out I know very little about the actual chemistry of the water besides correct specific gravity and temps. Simple stuff.
Here are some potential corals I may be adding into the tank. Feel free to tell me the do's and dont's, and recommend other corals for my tank:
-White Pom Pom Xenia
-Candy Cane Coral
-Ricordea Mushroom
-Sarcophyton Toadstool Leather Coral
-Elegant Moon Polyp
-Green Polyp Leather
This is all I have for corals right now. Any additions and recommendations are appreciated, and any comments about care and requirements are even more so.
Here is what I have going for fish. I will obviously not be shoving all of these in a single 30 gallon! I just have a few you guys can pick off if there are conflicts!
-Ocellaris Clownfish
-Firefish
-Whitetail Dottyback
-Royal Gramma Basslet
-Coral Beauty Angelfish
-Flame Hawkfish
Thank you, and I hope I can get some help! What a wonderful community!
