how do you bring down you level of nitrites in a new salt tank?

Does anyone know where i can get some information in regards to bringing down the level of the nitrites in my new tank? i have two triggers (niger + picaso) and three puffers (porcupine,leopard spotted, + dogface). i have a new fish coming and isnt as hardy as these 5, my nitrites are high because it is a fairly new tank, what info can i get ahold off?null

What size tank do you have? Nitrites should fall on their own being converted to nitrates. Unless the tank is overcrowded and producing too much waste for the bacteria to keep up.

One way to bring down the nitrites is to do a partial water change. Another way is to watch how much you feed them. Make sure you are not overfeeding because that will make extra waste (poop too!) that will rot on the bottom and cause the nitrites to rise.

Dont do the water change,it seens to me that you are still cicling your tank so its not a good idea to do it just wait the nitrite will turn into nitrate or add some cycle it will help.
