How do you create....

what i usually do is take the tubing place one end thats hooked up into a air stone so it can stay down ( if you don't have an air stone you can get a small piece of rock and tie it with a rubber band ) and then once that goes into your DT the other end you should suck out air for a few seconds then you will see the siphon begin make sure that you have some place for that water to go to as it begins to siphon out

Place one end in the tank, the other end in your mouth and suck... works like a charm.

Make sure the bucket your emptying into is lower than the tank your taking from.

Yea I thought the whole airline tubing was different, definatly small, but it will work with any tubing.

Yeah! imagine the pressure created by necking down that much ~ ought to be able to shoot water 30' or better. Heck of a squirt gun!
Maybe he is using 1/2" or 5/8" air line. I just assumed this because he mentioned water changes. A water change with 3/16" air line would take decades.

Definitely no foul. I forgot to put a smiley at the end of my post. Sometimes I forget that just because I'm smiling doesn't mean my keyboard is.

I though he was talking about the larger sized tubing
For airline for acclimation I just suck also

After using the hand pump, I will never suck for water changes again. I do miss the flavor of fish poop water though.
