I want to get started with my corals as soon as possiable... how does this trade thing work how do oyu ship...no money exchange right???

You might want to make you're questions a little bit more clear and they'll be easier to answer. there are many different options you have when trading corals with other reefers. Most have paypal acounts that you can transfer money to or they meet up to do exchanges, or ship their corals to each other.

I'm going to try shipping in a thermos, w/styroballs packed in a box to one trader. Some do a "Thermos Trade" where you have a list of people and everybody sends the next person in line a couple of frags. I'm not sure the success, I've read problems with it. No money is exchanged, so I don't know how fair the shipping is verses what kind of coral you get and what kind you shipped and where to? These are things that have kept me from trading in groups. But using a thermos to control temperature so the animal survives the trip, I have read many success stories w/ the right outside temp. Spring and Fall basically. I don't see a difference between that and a stryo box. Winter and Summer, heat and ice packs, respectfully. New to it too, just what I've read.
