How do you fragment corals?

ive never had any but i am getting some soon...how do i frag them?

Fragging varies by the type of coral. Softies, just cut em. LPS, Im not sure, maybe break a branch off of the respective types of coral. SPS, break a piece off.
IME with mushrooms, just cut them. GSP, rip the mat. Palythoa/zoanthids, break the rock or remove them from the rock very carefully.

mushrooms: Chop off their heads right in the tank and u hav 2.
LPS, Candies Hammer: Cut their branch,( where theirs no tissue)
