I have a LTA in my 12g. Yes i know that it is to big for the tank or that is what I have been told but I have it anyway. But I have had it for almost 2 weeks and it has attatched itself to a rock and has not moved since they day I got it. I feed it raw shrimp since it really seems to like it. But I am just always worried it will die. Is there any signs that could tell you if something is wrong?

I would not be so worried. You can look at him and tell if he is not doing well. If he starts to melt then you need to remove.

It`s a little too late to wait and see if it melts . LTA will not survive in a small tank like that . What lighting do you have ? LTAs require a lot of light and pristine water . Good coloration and sticky tenticals is a good sign of being healthy .

Also, an anenome that moves around alot is a sign of an unhappy animal. For it to be footed and secure and to blow up when the lights come on, eating well and sticky tenticles those are all key indicators that it is doing well. I am not sold on the strong light factor of anenomies. Florida Condi Anenomies are found as deep as 15 to 18ft under water where little or no light can reach them and they thrive. I know lfs here that have BTA's in tanks with no more lighting than std PC's no more powerful (watts per Gal) than the std Biocube lighting, one of them has been in there for well over a year no one will buy it its too big. But, thats just MO.
