how do you know if gbta is died?

my gbta shrink from 10 " to 2" with brown stuff coming off i feed him yesterday with silverfish and i know that it's not getting enough light .. so today a tried to revive it by put it directly with sunlight.

You gave it direct sunlight? For how long? Unless you have a good chiller, you probably wont be able to give it direct sunlight for enough hours to bring it back to health without heating up the tank first.
My anemone went from 8inchs to about 2inchs, and I thought it was dead or dying but I checked my salinity and fixed it right away. It is recovering fully. Check out my thread for my BTA help.
Check ur salinit to see if its at 1.023-1.025 and also try to get a lighting upgrade. Dont over feed because your ammonia might start going up killing everything else in your tank. Good luck.
