A Rubbermaid container/some egg crate/some bio media/some PVC/some creativity. They work great!

I did one for my friends 46 bow front, and it's quite easy. I used a 10-gallon aquarium and bought some plexi-glass and sectioned it off, like the ones you buy. You use silicon to stable the sections, you buy the white white covers (has holes like a grid) and put that to support the bio balls. It's not too bad, but that is the gist of it.
