there are calcium test kits. mine is a three step painful process, but i have to get a water sample, drop drops in to turn it one color, then count the drops it takes to turn a different color, then multiply by some number.
i have the red sea test kit, same as mentioned above, add drops to get one color, then add other drops counting them to change to blue, then multiply by 15. you want it to be between 27 and 30 drops to make it turn blue.
does your's turn blue blue or does it keep a purple tint? at one time i was putting in 40 drops and giving up on it turning COMPLETELY blue like they say.
