how does everyone deal with evaporation???

Just wondering how everyone deals here with evaporation?? On my little 20 reef tank I have to add 1 cup of water per day. It's kinda a pain. When I get my big tank..whats the best way??thanks Lynn

i top off my 55 gal fish only tank with ro water about once a week with normall a gallon and a half.

i top it off. there are products you can buy that will do it for you.

I top off my 125 everyother day, and the other tanks the same. Good Luck

1c a day? Funny, i top off @2 1/2 gpd but I have a ultralife float tops off for me. I keep that in a 10g container or the top off tank. Float switchs can fail so I don't want my sump to flood but it can handle that much water easy. I have a doser that pumps 1.9gpd which isn't enough I dbought on ---- rebuilt hospital one. I dose kalk with it. $55 the ultra life switch is so it can keep up. It gets the extra. IMO the best would be if I just bought the spectrapure doser which can does anything I want. But $230 was a bit to much. But imo the best. My doser is in a 20g top of container. Not in but thats where the top comes from. I can leave my tank for 30days easy. i have a neighbor feed my fish and check up on it every few days. But I can let it be for 30days no problems easy. I like it automated so I can relax especially when I'm in Maui 10 days next tues day But i have it set up concidering if anything fails theres alway back up. never rely on one thing =trouble

I top 3 gal. every 2 days. <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" /> I am making 10 gal top off system so I can go on my week vacations in the summer. I'm using a jug that came out of a camper. <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />
