Is that enough lighting to start of with?How often do you add iodine and calcium?

You are paying too much for the balast if it is a 660. I got the balast for $150 and it came with heat sink and harness.
Iodine and calcium as needed. You need the test kits.
If you are doing a reed you can forget the UV and the canister filter.
Buy LR and LS instead.

I am doing a 75 gal with reef and inverts with some fish.Why should I forget the uv light and canister filter.

The UV can kill good stuff and the canister filter will produce nitrates.
The basic reef filtration is LR, LS and a good protine skimmer.
The basic chemicals are Alk and calcium. More to taste>
