How far is safe?

How far away from a 8x54 watt light in a 90 is safe for SPS in your opinions? My new obsession is taking all of my top room, and I was wondering how far maybe in inches i could move some down with out a risk of them browning out?

If the fixture is individually reflected and you're using good bulbs then you should be able to keep acros wherever you want.

Depends, honestly. Are you talking about a 90 gallon show tank or a standard 90 gallon tank? If you are talking about a show tank, which is like... 30 inches tall, then I don't suggest you keep them on the bottom half.
You won't be able to grow acros extremely well under T5 lights, Unless they are brand new and individually reflected. It's not like metal halide. Good luck to yah!

it is a standard 90, and yes they are individually refected and are the new HO bulbs, I have a pic of the tank posted on here some where

what fixture is that? if it's got quality ballasts that push the bulbs correctly, i would say anywhere in the upper 2/3 of the tank. if that brain isn't losing color on the sand bed there, i wouldn't keep sps down there.
